Letter dated 08/06/1894 to E. B. Gaston from Henry C. Hanson of Gothenburg, Nebraska. Hanson does not have the cash to become a member of the Fairhope Industrial Association. He reports, however, that there are people in Nebraska who might be interested in the FIA, and asks Gaston "what you would think of my trying to get recruits for the colony."

Letter dated 1/9/1895 to E. B. Gaston from J. Axel Haggstrom of Chicago. Haggstrom has not been able to sell his farm in Nebraska and he is out of work, so he has not made his payments to the Fairhope Industrial Association. He enclosed a $.10 penalty and asks what chances there are of work in Fairhope in a "saw mill, garden farm or anything."
