Description |
Meeting Minutes dated February 3, 1896 of the Fairhope Industrial Association. All members were present and last meeting minutes were approved. Monthly reports from Secretary, Treasurer and Wharfinger were presented and referred to Auditing Committee. Reports attached. George Pollay of committee appointed to submit a plan for laying off land north of Schalkenback, reported and presented 2 plans. Applications of C. E. Atkinson and L. W. Larson for membership taken from table. Moved that both be accepted. Carried. Moved and carried that the Secretary express the sympathies of the Council to Mr. A. Mershon for his late bereavement. Secretary reported to the Council the filing of a protest against the readmission of John W. Ettle to membership, same having been signed by the required percentage of the membership and filed within the constitutional limit of time. It was moved and carried that the money paid by Mr. Ettle on membership account be refunded. Matter of balance due from A. J. Cullen on membershipe account was taken up and it was carried that Mr. Cullen be notified that privilage of paying the balance of his membership in cigars had been forfeited by failure to deliver same on demand of the Association and that payment would now be expected in cash. Moved and carried that members entitled to an extra share of stock on account of extra $75.00 payment under old charter could be reimbursed in several ways. Bills allowed to be paid. |
