Letter written to E. B. Gaston from William R. Pickering of Des Moines, Iowa dated August 23, 1897 saying that he has not yet got it fixed up with Mrs. V. (perhaps Vander-Meulen). Mrs. V. wants him to take the Young share but he objects because Young had signed it over to Mrs. Mead. Mrs. Mead has decided not to take over Mrs. V's house. If Gaston will transfer the Young share to Mrs. V then she will sell her share to William R. Pickering.
