December 9, 1895, meeting of the Executive Council of the Fairhope Industrial Association. All present but C. L. Coleman. By consent adjourned to meet Tuesday evening December 12. December 10, 1895, meeting of the Executive Council of the Fairhope Industrial Association. All present. Adjourned. Minutes from last meeting read and approved. C. L. Coleman reported on well and that the pump had failed almost as soon as put in and rather than getting plumbers he made a trip to Mobile and procured required tools an intended to under take repairs himself. Wharf Committee on specs. with wharfinger asked for further time as Mr. Coleman had been in Mobile for days and Committee had not met. Appraisals of land and assessements discussed. Moved and carried that lands held by members be valued as follows: Mershon Bros.-1/2 a.-Fairhope Ave. and Section St.--$25.00 J. T. Kearns-1 a. _ Fairhope Ave.-$50.00 E. B. Pollay-5 a. on Fairhope Ave.-$75.00 Mrs. Lauren-5 a. on Fairhope Ave.- $25.00 Special election is set for 1/20/1896 for an amendment which would modifiy the existing rule that full membership is required to lease land from the FIA. Since the FIA has plenty of available land, the amendment would allow those who have paid at least $25 towards their memberships (with reuired $5 monthly installments) to lease land. A.H. Mershon was approved to cut a road to his house. William Stimspon was appointment custodian of the tools and the saw owned by the FIA. The saw can be rented for $.10 per day. Mr. Cullen must pay the balance of his delinquent membership dues in cigars as agreed. If he does not by 1/1/1896, payment is expected. Furth the Wharf Committee was instructed to see that Mr. Cullen's property is removed from the Wharf immediately. |
