Letter written to E. B. Gaston on December 15, 1895 from Henry C. Schakel. He has not received his Courier and encloses money to receive the next few issues. He wants to know how many acres of land have been bought so far. He thinks Gaston should not write much in the Courier about taxation or the single tax for fear that the landlords might be encouraged and have some special law passed by state legislature to crush the Fairhope Corporation. ...
