He has sent $.25 to Mr. Belangee in Des Moines asking for the July 1 edition of the Fairhope Courier newspaper because he thought he would get it faster than if it came from Fairhope. He wants that issue corrected, and he has questions about becoming a non-resident member of the Fairhope Industrial Association.

    Letter dated 7/24/1897 to E. B. Gaston from Elisa Gaillard of Mobile. She is interested in the Fairhope Colony and is considering membership, although the high membership fee is discouraging her. Her father was a "genuine single taxer" and she has long knowledge of the movement. Because the bay boat schedule does not offer return passage to Mobile the same day, she will wait to visit Fairhope until her brother can bring her in his boat.
