1920. Section Street South showing buildings along street with school in distance. Wheeler Mercantile on front left built in 1918. Became Corner Cash Store in 1928 and demolished for McKeen's Hardware in 1931. Oldest building is the house on the south Corner of De La Mare Avenue. It still stands at the entrance of the French Quarter. Fairhope Pharmacy (then owned by Dr. Mershon) stands as it does today on the southwest corner of Section Street and Fairhope Avenue.
