Photograph postcard postmarked May 9, 1905 titled "A Scene at "The Pines Single Tax Colony Fairhope, Alabama." The picture is the home of Marie Howland, which she call The Pines, which also served as the Fairhope Public Library from 1900-1908. (The Library's first dedicated library building opened at 10 N. Summit Street in 1908.) Note: There are two postmarks on the postcard: the original in 1905, and a second in 1935. Another version of this photograph appeared in the Fairhope Courier and is available at 1904_Courier_Page_089 in these Archives.
