Post card photograph by Frank Stewart The Picture Man of "Wharf Hill" in Fairhope, Alabama. Berglin's Fairhope Ice and Creamery Company is on the left. The building on the right was the pumping plant for the water works (1906), and became the Fairhope Electric plant in 1915. The Pepper Nelson Volunteer Fireman's Hall is now at this location. This is the same image as FSTC-0792 except this picture is sepia-toned and much more clear. From the Paul M. Gaston Collection, Fairhope Single Tax Corporation Archives |
