Photograph of the Magnet Theater in Fairhope, Alabama, built by Judge Edward P. Totten in 1924 at the southeast corner of Fairhope Avenue and Church Street. Architect was J. Platt Roberts of Mobile, Alabama. It later became the Playhouse Theater and the Fairhope Theater. It burned in 2011. There are several of the wooden seats seen in the picture in the collection of the Fairhope Museum of History. From the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation Archives. |
