Photograph of George Y. Skinner and Mildred Wheeler Skinner seated on a bench at the Fairhope Golf, Gun and Country Club in Fairhope, Alabama. Mrs. Skinner holds her golf club. The picture is not dated, but likely in the 1930s. New Yorkers Mr. and Mrs. Skinner first came to Fairhope c. 1931, where, for some years, they spent the winter months living at the Colonial Inn. Subsequently they bought a house from T. H. Molton at 52 North Ingleside Street (called a "lovely suburban home" in the Fairhope Courier). Mr. Skinner died in 1945 and Mrs. Skinner died in 1960.
