Photograph of the 300 block of South Section Street in Fairhope, Alabama, c.late-1950s. The car in the foreground sits on the east side of Section Street. The new First Baptist Church building is seen on the right. The Baptist congregation in Fairhope dates to the early 1900s, and this is the third church built by the Baptists as they kept up with their growing number of parishioners. The land for this church was acquired in 1955 from Felix W. Beiser for $32,500. Mr. Beiser's home "Englewood Villa" is seen to the left of the church.
