Photograph c.1922 by Frank Stewart, The Picture Man, of the Fairhope Golf, Gun and Country Club clubhouse, also called the Fairhope Country Club. The nine-house course was built in 1916 on Bayou Cherbon (aka Big Mouth Gully, Davis Gully, Marshall's Gully), on the south side of Fairhope Avenue at Johnson Street.
