Letter dated 9/3/1901 to E. B. Gaston from W. Trueman of New Haven, Connecticut subscribing to the Fairhope Courier. He was glad to hear that Fairhope escaped the storm and that the boat was safe. They never use Fels soap without thinking of Gaston. They link Gaston and the soap together for they are both good. They wonder what will become of DeLaMare.

Letter dated 8/19/1907, to E. B. Gaston from Joseph Fels. Enclosed is a letter from Dr. Leverson in which Leverson encourages Norton and Fels to credit each other with the "good intentions" and "good will" of the other. He also says that he stopped Mr. Norton from sending him the Standard, but asks Mr. Gaston to send him any copy containing scurrilous talk about Fairhope, and he (Fels) will write to the paper, with great pleasure.
