Description |
Letter with no date (likely later 1898 or early 1899) to E. B. Gaston from Joseph Fels in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Fels has read about the appeal for donations for a library building and for telephone service for Fairhope in the Fairhope Courier newspaper. He wants to hear more about these projects from Gaston, and plans to come to Fairhope to visit or send his brother in his place. In the meantime, Fels urges that "the books ought not to be idle" and wonders if there is a temporary building to house the library. |
