Meeting Minutes of the Fairhope Industrial Association dated July 29, 1895 Executive Council Present: George Pollay, Jennie Pollay, J. P. Hunnel, C. L. Coleman, E. B. Gaston, Members Present: Clara M. Gaston, H. C. C. Schakel, William Stimpson. C. L. Coleman gave a report on the well. E. B. Gaston reported that he had secured a deed for Mrs. Tatum's land. George Pollay reported that with the help of C. L. Coleman and William Stimpson he had completed the road east of the store. He also reported that he had posted a notice of warning against trespassing on the land occupied by Delilah Washington. C. L Coleman gave a wharf report saying that work had commenced putting down piles. E. B. Gaston submitted the membership application of J. M. Hislop and application was accepted. He also reported that J. W. Ettel intended to withdraw from the Association because of their refusal to grant him the land that he desired. Chair appointed Jennie Pollay and E. B. Gaston to draft resolutions of respect and sympathy to J. P. Hunnel and his brother for their recent bereavement. A petition was signed asking for an election be called to fill the vacancies of President, 1 Trustee and Superitendant of Public Services. |
