Postcard from Webb & McAlpine, dated May 19, 1915 to A. M. Troyer, Secretary of the People's Railroad Company. James H. Webb and Jno. W. McAlpine were attorneys in Mobile, Alabama. Mr. Webb provided legal services for the Fairhope Industrial Association and the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation for years, and in many cases, gratis. Here, the note reflects his magnanimous spirit in hoping for success with the People's Railroad project and requesting reasonable compensation, but only if able to pay.
