Description |
Letter written to E. B. Gaston on 8/12/1894 from Henry C. C. Schakel, Ind. He did not mean in his last letter that the association should guarantee him employment or that he would not join if the colony did not guarantee a certain fixed rate of wages. He understands it is the intention of the association to cooperate in matters of general concern and that it will be duty of executive council to manage and carry out the business of the association. What he wants to know is if the association has a job for him. He has had many occupations and worked successfully in Germany, Indiana, Colorado, California and Mexico. |
