Description |
Letter dated 4/7/1908 to Louis Post, editor of The Public newspaper in Chicago, Illinois, from A. J. Wolf in Fairhope, Alabama. Wolf commends Post for the stand he has taken to not publish any articles about Fairhope. Wolf says the controversy in Fairhope needs to be settled "among ourselves" without interference from others outside the Colony. Wolf comments on Daniel Kiefer, who contributes articles to The Public, and says he is leaving Fairhope to return home to Cincinnati, but he has "been living in a fool's paradise here for several weeks" and is now "full of deceptive information and false impressions" about Fairhope which may give him cause to "bullheadedly interfere." Wolf implores Post to continue to keep Fairhope articles out of The Public. Note: The penmanship in this letter is different from other letters by A. J. Wolf and is muct neater and more ledgible. This cataloger speculates that Wolf's wife copied the letter for her husband. |
