Advertising brochure and Price List dated 1936 for the Pinequat Shop in Fairhope, Alabama. The shop was located on the north side of Fairhope Avenue a bit east of the center of the block between Section Street and Church Street. The first business in that location was Fairhope Millinery and Ladies Furnishings Shop which opened in 1899 by proprietor Anne B. Call. By about 1915, Mrs. Call changed her business model and opened the Pinequat Shop in the same location. Her daughter Helen Call was in business with her mother. The business closed in 1956, and the building was torn down to make way for a new bank building in 1958. Images of the Pinequat Shop are available in the Photos section of these online Archives.
