Description |
Meeting Minutes of the Fairhope Industrial Association dated December 2, 1895. Also attached is a report from the Sec. for December receipts and disbursements. Report made by Secretary and Treasurer. Secretary reported he contacted several lumber companies for prices of materials to complete the wharf. Wharf Committee instructed to draw up a contract to be entered into with wharfinger. Moved that the matter of assessments of lands be laid over another week in view of the fact that an election occurs which may throw the matter into the hands of the "assembly". Discussion of wharf certificates. Moved that members who are indebted to the Association for improvements on the land and have not paid the first installment by November 1st be held delinquent and not be entitled to vote at the election called for december 3rd. Carried. Moved and carried that all members who have paid all installments due upon stock up to December 1st and not otherwise delinquent be entitled to vote in election of December 3rd. Moved that election called for December 3rd be held at the stone building between the hours of 7:30 and 8:30 PM. Moved and carried that the mgrs. of the Courier be directed to use every effort to get regular subscription price of the Courier from everyone on the list but not to cut off members if they do not pay. Bills allowed for payment to C. L. Coleman and _ H. Springer Attached is a 2 page report of the Secretary for December. |
