Correspondence of the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation, (letter Wa), 1930-1935. Includes letters from Abe Waldauer as well as general correspondence: 3.19.2-13 contains letters on methods to get the Georgist idea before people in a convincing manner and the importance of establishing "enclaves" in other areas. 3.19.14-18 contains Will Atkinson's address before the Henry George Congress sent by Abe Waldauer of Memphis, Tennessee. 3.19.19-22 contains correspondence about the lawsuit filed by Call, Cohen and Schalkenback and notes the assistance of the Memphis Singletaxers in Melville case. Page 29-32 includes interesting correspondence between Abe Waldauer, attorney, and Alex J. Melville. 3.19.33-69 is correspondence about difference enclaves such as the Llano Cooperative, Tahanto enclave and Sant Jordi enclave and general colony business. Shakerton, Halidon, and Pittmantown are also mentioned in 3.19 correspondence. 3.19.70- regards the conveyance of the park lands and those that opposed the transfer, such as A. E. Schalkenbach and William R. F. Call. |
