Description |
Meeting Minutes of the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation for the year 1920. The Colony Council usually met twice per month. Includes reports, lease information and information reflective of the business of the Corporation. Among other topics discussed: Colony Telphone System, Fairhope Public LIbrary, street and drainage projects, Tax increases on FSTC lands, rent issues and lessee concerns. Signor Cipriano Montoliu sent his Organic City plan to the FSTC for consideration. The Colony puchased a small amount of land from Baldwin County and R. F. Powell. An attempt to purchase 22 acres for sale by John Ettel failed. There was discussion of improving the Fairhope Wharf and providing lighting at night when there was bay boat service.
