Known as the Schalkenbach Tract, this property (or portions of) would be sold several times between 1894 and 1926 as documented in BSS.901 through BSS.914. The property bordered the north side of the 132 acres the Fairhope Industrial Association would purchase in January 1895 to start the model community of Fairhope.
