Letter dated 2/23/1920 to the State Tax Commission in Montgomery, Alabama from E. B. Gaston correcting Gaston's title on People's Railroad Company forms to refer to him as president of the Company. Gaston answers the Commission's question about why a corporation could exist without capital stock, and Gaston explains the Alabama code (of 1907), and that the probate judge who issued the charter consulted with the state attorney general about the issue. Gaston mentions the People's Railroad Company's attorney, James Webb. |
