Description |
Letter to Ernest B. Gaston from T. H. Chamberlain, Findlay, Ohio, date June 28, 1894. He read in Liberty Bell that Location Committee is now in Arkansas. He mentions Patrick Henry "give me liberty or give me death". Equal freedom is what Patrick Henry meant as liberty. He hopes committee can locate land that is good for agriculture and has a favorable climate. He mentioned Puget Sound Colony in 1886 and felt they did not recognize the law of equal freedom and was not right location. He knows several people that will join but waiting for decision to be made on location. |
