The first poem continues an interview which was started in FMH-A0004b, titled "Dem Were Da Days" about PPK Minstrels, dated February 1916. The 1916 cartoon/poem was published by Dealy "for my Fairhope friends." It is available in these FSTC Archives at 37_2_001-008. The second poem, dated 1931, was written by Dealy, an engineer, when he was working on the Wilson Dam near Muscle Shoals, Alabama. It is titled "That Old Gand of Mine." The third poem, dated 1935, was written by Dealy when he was working in Nashville, TN, titled "Merry Christmas, Folks" in which he remembers growing up in early Fairhope. The audio tape stops midway through this poem, and continues in FMH_A0007b. A transcription of the narration is available through the link below. The transcription was made electronically through Whisper software, and there may be minor errors. Run time is approximately 32 minutes.
