Letter dated 11/21/1905 to James Bellangee from E. D. Braam, C. L. Coleman and H. C. Oswalt who are acting for a committee asking Bellangee to retract what they feel to be malicious and slanderous comments made about Dr. Harris S.Greeno, in his absense, at a meeting of the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation. James Bellangee said that Dr. Greeno was a drunkard and seldom sober. The committee feel that Dr. Greeno is a reputable and good citzen whose integrity is unquestioned and whose character is above reproach. They are asking Bellangee to retract, deny and renounce said statements and humbly ask pardon of Dr. H. S. Greeno. (E. T. Molyneaux and E. D. Brown are also members of the committee). |
