Description |
Meeting Minutes of the Fairhope Industrial Association dated May 18, 1896. C. L. Coleman gave wharf report. Wharf work practically complete. S. Vander-Meulen reported reported on the time spent on the wharf. There was a dispute between the time keeper and Mr. Cherry as to time put in. Moves that the committee be authorized to make Mr. Cherry a proposition to split the difference. Mr. Stimpson reported that they had appointed A. H. Mershon to appraise the improvements on the lot adjoining Mr. Vander-Meulen. S. S. Mann reported securing the Press which was in Mobile. Moved and carried that the business manager for the Fairhope Courier get the Press repaired and bring it over. Moved and carried that members wishing to use the columns of the Fairhope Courier to advertise products should pay the actual cost of space occupied. Application of Dr. Clara E. Atkinson taken from table. Moved and carried that one acre in front of Hunnel tract now in possession of Mr. Coleman be condemned for school purposes. |
