Letter dated 4/5/1909 to E. B. Gaston from Henry H. Hardinge in Chicago, Illinois. Hardinge has met with Mr. Rutherford who has a used linotype machine he is willing to get in top shape and sell to Gaston for $2000. Hardinge says "it is not as pretty but is just as good as a new machine." Rutherford is willing to sell because it is "dead capital" to him now. |
