Letter dated 10/28/1907 to E. B. Gaston from Thomas P. Craig in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Craig is enclosing subscription money for the Fairhope Courier newspaper and comments that he reads it very carefully. He asks Gaston about the cost of an electric light plant for Fairhope; he thinks Fairhope should use electricity instead of gas. He also wants to know how much is still owing on the water works, and he comments on the return of the Trenholmes to Fairhope. Craig builds structures he calls "sleeping rooms" in Colorado Springs, which provide excellent ventilation while keeping the wind and rain away. These are very popular there- espcially for visitors who come to Colorado Springs for their health. He suggests to Gaston that sleeping rooms could be popular in Fairhope. |
