Description |
Letter written to E. B. Gaston on February 5, 1895 from W. E. Brokaw, editor of th Single Tax Courier asking questions about developments in Fairhope that he has heard about. He has heard that Dellgren has rented a place outside the colony and will not join and that C. B. Power has left because he feels that Gaston misrepresented funds. He agrees with Norton that a complete application of the single tax by the colony would be impossible but that a colony of single-taxers should be able to come as near as possible. He asks why people say the colony is run on socialistic grounds. He asks if questions are settled by referendum vote of all shareholders or just those on the ground. |
