Meeting Minutes of the Fairhope Industrial Association dated May 18, 1894 at the residence of President L. R. Clements. Present were: Clements, Bellangee, Mann, Hunnel, and Gaston. Secretary read some interesting correspondence from parties thinking of joining the association and from parties making propositions on locations. Locations discussed were: Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and Tennessee. Discussion of Liberty Bell not being self-supporting but was important and needed to be kept up. Resolution was adopted unanimousily the official paper of the Fairhope Industrial Association should be devoted practially and exclusively to the Fairhope principles and not general news and political matters. An allowance of $10.00 per month would be made to Mr. Wooster in Fairhope Stock to assist him in his publication and suggest it be published twice a month. Adjourned Signed by E. B. Gaston |
