Letter dated 7/15/1906 to E. B. Gaston from N. M. Cope in Flatwood (Wilcox County), Alabama. Cope has received Gaston's letter notifying him of the lapse in his Fairhope Courier newspaper subscription. Cope thought that the work he did on Dr. Clara Atkinson's (Gaston's half sister) house should be enough collateral to continue his subscription until he was able to move to Fairhope. If it is not, he will have to do without the newspaper. He comments that he enjoys reading the "tiffe between the editiors of the (Daphne) Standard and Courier." |
