Letter dated January 18, 1912 to Herschel Stuart in Nampa, Idaho from a former teacher Amy McDonnell in De Lamar, Idaho. Herschel, his brother Edward and their father Henry James Stuart moved from De Lamar to Nampa in summer of 1911. Amy McDonnell is writing Herschel to ask him for a favor. Herschel Stuart's father Henry Stuart, who is the Fairhope connection to this letter. After his sons were grown, the senior Stuart left Nampa for health reasons in 1923 and moved to Montrose, Alabama near Fairhope,where he was known for the Round House (Hermit House) on his property, Tolstoy Park.
