Description |
Letter dated 2/20/1908 written to E. B. Gaston which is unsigned but likely from Mr. Schindler (he names a "Mrs. Schindler" in his letter, which seems to be his wife.) He tells Gaston that sellable manure is a good idea for the colony, and for the wharf. The main thrust of his letter concerns getting Gaston's good opinion on the idea of circulating 5,000 Fairhope Courier newspapers in Mobile. AL. He enclosed a type of money order to assist in paying for the popularity of the newspaper "test", and says that if Gaston doesn't like the idea, he can send back the money order. He also says that if Gaston proceeds with the idea, and the cost of the test equals the sales of papers, then they should consider the endeavor a success. |
