Description |
Letter dated 3/4/1909 to Marietta Johnson from Joseph Fels saying that he feels that the benefits of the School for Organic School (Organic School) should go to people living on Colony land. Mrs Johnson apparently wants all children to be able to attend the school, whether they live on Colony land or not. Fels feels like by treating all people alike, there will be no inducement to people to come and live in Fairhope on Colony land. He asks Johnson to get her committee together to consider the question and decide about it. He encloses a letter from A. C. Pleydell, first assistant to Lawson Purdy, Commissioner of Taxes in New York, for her consideration. |
