Description |
1970 Annual Report of The Fairhope Single Tax Corporation. Rent charges were increased by 8.51% for city land and 8.99% for country land as a result of reappraisals by the rent study committee appointed by the Colony council. This resulted in some lessees, largely those leasing country land, filing a petition asking the council to reconsider such increase and to reduce it. The petition bore 153 signatures.
