Description |
Letter written to E. B. Gaston on December 15, 1894 from D. N. Hartley of Salem, Iowa saying that he has travelled to Texas and Mexico, has not made any money, has wasted a summer, is homeless and friendless and is ready for almost anything. He asks about the status of the "Single Tax Colony." Note: On the back of the letter there is some kind of tally showing the names of early colonists (Dellgren, Tuveson, Pollay, Wold, Gaston, Hunnel, Keil, Coleman) and numbers (possibly number of family members). |
