Description |
Letter dated 4/16/1906 to E. B. Gaston from John H. Blakeney in Binghamton, New York. Blakeney tells Gaston that John Murray and H. R. Southworth want to discontinue their subscriptions to the Fairhope Courier newspaper. Blakeney offers constructive criticsm about the Courier, and tells Gaston it would help if it was enlarged so additional content could be added. Blakeney thinks there is so much content about local issues in the paper, that those outside Fairhope are losing interest. He suggests that if Gaston cannot enlarge the paper, then he should condense the type to have room to add more content. Blakeney thinks the Fairhope Courier could possibly lose subscribers to The Public newspaper, another single tax paper. Blakeney says he has received a letter from Professor James Bellangee recently. |
