Letter dated 6/13/1931 to A. E. Schalkenbach from Anne B. Call letting him know how much Mr. Johnston, attorney, will charge to take their court case through the Circuit Court and before the Supreme Court of Alabama. This is in regards to their dispute as Trustee and previous Trustee with other Fairhope Single Tax Corporation council members with regards to the transfer of the park lands to the Town of Fairhope. They have received many legal opinions from attorneys that think that in order for the transfer to be legal that the countitution of the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation would have to me amended or the members would have to agree to the transfer by a referendum vote. |
